LAND USE PLANNING

Getting a property approved for what you want to build is often the hardest part of a project — and it's rarely just the survey or the engineering. Plog Engineering guides short plats, boundary line adjustments, unit lot developments, and condominiums through the local land use process from start to finish. Because our land use work builds on our own survey, we take these projects on only for properties where we also perform the surveying — so the survey, the layout, and the approvals all come from the same licensed principal.

Plats & Short Plats

When you're dividing a property, we handle short plats from concept through recording — feasibility, lot layout, the land use applications each jurisdiction requires, agency coordination, and representation at hearings when needed, along with the survey work that supports it all.

Boundary Line Adjustments

A boundary line adjustment revises the line between adjoining properties — to cure an issue, square up lots, or make a project work. Every city and county handles the process differently; we manage it from survey through recording.

Unit Lot Subdivisions

Unit lot subdivisions are found primarily within the City of Seattle. We handle the survey and the land use work to make it happen.

Condominiums

We prepare condominium surveys and the documentation required to establish units and common areas for residential and commercial condominiums.

One firm, survey through approval

Most projects bounce between a surveyor, a land use planner, and a civil engineer, and things get lost in the handoffs. We do it under one roof — fewer handoffs, fewer surprises, and one person managing the whole thing.
